I specialize in advanced aesthetic, reconstructive, and functional nasal surgery with a particular focus on complex revision procedures.

For me, rhinoplasty is not about creating a new nose or a new appearance. It is about creating balance between the nose, the face, and the identity you wish to express.

Every operation is planned individually and is based on modern, tissue-preserving surgical principles with a focus on naturalness, function, and long-lasting results.

My understanding of aesthetics is based on values such as individuality, authenticity, and respect for the individual's expression.

It is not about ethnicity, trends, or standardized ideals. The goal is to create harmonious and natural results that support the facial proportions and the character of the individual patient.

The same philosophy forms the basis for gender-affirming rhinoplasty. The shape of the nose plays an important role in the gendered expression of the face, and the surgery must therefore not only be technically precise but also take into account the patient's identity and self-experience.

Kristian Bruun Petersen has extensive experience in advanced cosmetic and reconstructive nasal surgery. With an in-depth understanding of nasal anatomy, a deep sense of facial aesthetics, and an uncompromising focus on details, he is known for creating natural and harmonious results.

Kristian utilizes the latest structural and hybrid techniques – methods used in very few places in the Nordic region. Each nose and each face is unique, and therefore the technique is tailored precisely to you to ensure the best possible result.

As one of the few surgeons in Scandinavia, Kristian uses Piezo ultrasonic knives and diamond drills for all his procedures. These instruments are gentler on the tissue, provide greater precision, and enable highly advanced techniques where even difficult and previously failed nose surgeries can be safely reconstructed.

Kristian works in a close professional network with some of Europe's and the world's leading nasal surgeons and has completed surgical training at international centers in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, and the USA, among others.

Kristian is a consultant surgeon at Aarhus University Hospital, where he primarily focuses on reconstruction of the nose and nasal septum, endoscopic sinus surgery, and cancer surgery. He is an associate professor at Aarhus University, chairman of the Danish Rhinologic Society, and is an invited speaker at national and international meetings on complex sinus surgery, airway-improving nasal surgery, and aesthetic rhinoplasty.
